Remembering Monetta Eloyse Darnell aka Linda Darnell (October 16th 1923 – April 10th 1965)

Nicknamed ‘The Girl with the Perfect Face’, known as Tweedles by her family,  Linda died at age 41 in a housefire, having sadly spent much of her career unable to cope with disappointments in Hollywood and her own personal problems. Nevertheless, Linda is beloved for her roles in classics such as The Mark of Zorro and My Darling Clementine, and for her timeless performances in Fallen Angel and A Letter to Three Wives.

She is also remembered for her beauty, creativity and kindness, described by close friend Jeanne Curtis as “outgoing but private, knowledgeable, well-read, intelligent and warm.”
